Catch a glimpse of early and contemporary cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in and around Townsville/Thuringowa in the Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Cultural Centre.
The Queensland Heritage Trails Network has contributed $3M in funding towards the project, with the support of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC)Townsville Regional Office and the Townsville City Council.
The cultural centre shares the history of the area. Visitors can experience Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's heritage through innovative cultural, educational and informative displays.
