Ouarzazate is the starting point for hikes by foot, 4X4, mountain bike or dromedary in simply stunning landscapes! If you like the desert, you will love south of Ouarzazate whereas lovers of the mountains will head towards the Upper Atlas to the north. You may also admire the impressive rocky walls of the splendid Dadès or Todra gorges. Whatever your direction, you will be dazzled and moved by the beauty of landscapes that have inspired many film-makers, as the studios located there can testify. Before leaving Ouarzazate, visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a village within the town which has maintained its unique Berber atmosphere as well as the Aït Benhaddou kasbah which is on the Unesco world heritage list.
