Silver City, located in Grant County in southwestern New Mexico, offers year-round activities, a great climate and friendly people. In Silver City, there’s something for everybody in the family. Downtown Silver City has a thriving collection of art galleries and studios, retail and gift shops, restaurants and coffeehouses, nightspots and lodging. The historic architecture dates from the 1880s and includes Victorian brick, adobe, and commercial buildings. The town is also home to Western New Mexico University and two museums.
If outdoor activities are in your plans, Silver City is great base camp. It is the gateway to the three million-acre Gila National Wilderness.
