The Pinos Altos Melodrama Theatre opens its 14th hillarious season with the conspiracy comedy "Take Us To Your Lederhosen, or...One World Order To Go - Hold The Mao!"
As with all of Opera House's performances, this hysterical production is filled with fast-paced slapstick humor and plenty of opportunity for the audience to participate as they are encouraged to boo the villainous gunslingers, cheer the hero and throw popcorn to their heart’s delight.
The evening’s entertainment opens with an old-fashioned sing-along as audience members call out the number of their favorite song. This cabaret-style theatre, complete with full bar service, is housed in the historic Opera House in the quaint mountain town of Pinos Altos.
Pinos Altos is nestled in the tall pines of the Gila National Forest on HWY 15 just north of Silver City. The popular Buckhorn Saloon and Restaurant is adjacent to the Opera House. Shows are at 8pm and admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children and students. There is full bar service in the Opera House. The dinner and show combination for large parties has become a seasonal must for groups throughout the Southwest. For more information and reservations, which are a highly recommended, phone (505) 388-3848.
As always, the Pinos Altos Melodrama Theatre troupe reminds all to remember the words of that great philosopher, "Into every life a little popcorn must fall."
