Intersected by numerous small creeks, which carry floodwaters from the Murray into its many swamps, billabongs and food plains, Lindsay Isalnd is home to a significant array of flora and fauna.
Access to the river is good although in parts the terrain is almost untouched. Fishing for golden perch, Murray cod and yabbies is good. Boating and swimming are other activities. Visitors should carry water and supplies and remember that summers are very hot and dry and there is risk of bushfires.
