Located at Aqaba Gulf, south for Dahab and at 465 km from Ahmed Hamdi tunnel,Nuwebie is a city known for its wide touristic and trade fame. Having an area of 5097 km,it embraces several touristic projects and depends on marine tourism as well as diving and safari.
Nuwebie was first known by its old castle, but now it is an important touristic region or agricultural and trade activities,due to its being a sea port of urban communities.
Nuwebie castle: It was first known as Nuewebie castle which was built in 1893 as a center of police force far maintaining security in this region the old castle has a fence,small wall openings and a big gate.There is water well inside the wall. And it used to be a housing compound for the policemen families.
The Citadel of Salah El – Din: The Citadel was built in 1170 to protect the eastern border of Egypt.
